The Side Effects of Genetically Modified Foods

Research has discovered the effects of genetically modified foods on people who are diabetic, especially ones with respiratory problems. The N3twork covers everything from Monsanto’s work to the farmers’ products.

The most common type of GMF is tomatoes. How they are genetically modified to grow in the cold is done by combining anti-cold genes from fish with tomato genes. This testing has been studied for a span of ten years, which is not enough to determine the long term of side effects.

People allergic to fish could possibly be reacting to genetically modified tomatoes, and won’t know about it until it has built up for a specific time period. Using bacteria to invade the genetic make-up of corn can also be dangerous, and has caused several kinds of disease in people living in the Philippines.
